SEARCH - Sam Hughes National Historic District
Sam Hughes National Historic District was named after a Welsh Immigrant, whom began his residency in the United State at the age of 8. He was on his way to Texas, from California when he happened upon good ole Tucson, Arizona, on March 12, 1858. He then opened up a successful butcher shop.
This amazing man also helped incorporate the City of Tucson, in the 1870's. He was also a city official member for 7 years, served as Pima County Sheriff and county treasurer.
